What information we collect –

When you use our site, we collect information from you in two ways:

  1. When you place an order or sign-up to a be a Triton Outfitters member, you may be asked for your name, e-mail address, mailing address, phone number, or credit card information. 
  2. When you browse our site, we collect statistics from you regarding your visit, but not about you personally. These statistics include, but are not limited to, the number of people that visit our site, both unique and not unique, which pages people visit most on our site, as well as the domains our visitors come from.

How we use the information we collect – 

Our goal is to create a better shopping experience for all of our clients and members. When you become a Triton Outfitters member, we use your personal information to customize your shopping experience by recognizing products you have previously purchased or pages you frequently browse. When you place an order, your data is supplied via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our payment gateway providers database to be accessed by those authorized with special access to such systems. After you place your order, your personal information is NOT stored on our servers (which is why you may be required to enter it again on subsequent purchases).

When you merely browse our products, we use non-personal information regarding site statistics to determine what products are most popular and what features of our site work, or do not work. Again, none of these statistics are associated with your personal information.

How we protect the information we collect –

We have a strict policy of keeping all personal information that you provide secret and safe. That means we do not sell, trade, or transfer your personal information to outside parties including parts of our parent organization. If we contract with outside third-parties in the operation of our website, we require those parties to keep confidential  all the information that we store. The only time we ever release the personal information that you provide is to comply with the law, enforce site policies, or protect others or our rights, property, and safety. 

Childrens Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance –

We are in compliance with the requirements of COPPA (Childrens online privacy protection act), meaning that we do not collect information from anyone under 13 years of age. Our website, products and services, are designed for people who are 13 years of age or older.
